FAQs

About the Forum
  • What is MSRF?

The Medical Student Research Forum is an annual event that unites medicine, health, and biomedical sciences students from different universities, giving them the opportunity to present and share their research findings, engage in discussions, and compete for awards presented by the College of Medicine at King Saud University. The forum also features workshops and lectures on a range of medical research topics.

  • When and where will the conference take place?

The 8th Medical Students’ Research Forum will take place from February 12–14, 2026, at the College of Medicine, King Saud University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

  • Where can I find all the details and updates about the forum?

All details, including submission guidelines, registration forms, and program updates, will be available on our website: http://msrf.info and on our ? account: @KSUMSC_RF

  • What are the phases of the forum?

There are two phases: Phase one involves assessing submitted abstracts with decision notifications sent via email by late December 2025/early January 2026. Phase two involves the presentation and evaluation of selected oral/poster submissions, which will take place on February 12–14, 2026, at King Saud University.

Yes, as long as it has not been submitted to MSRF’s previous editions.

Evaluation & Notification
  • How is the evaluation process done?

Faculty members of the College of Medicine will assess abstracts anonymously to eliminate any potential bias. After having all abstracts assessed by two reviewers, the 24 top scoring abstracts will be chosen for oral presentations, the next 156 abstracts are chosen for the poster sessions; the top 12 case reports will also be selected for poster presentations.

  • When will I be notified if my abstract has been accepted, rejected, or needs editing?
